Considering the Note 2

Hi all,

I am considering upgrading to the Note 2. I some questions regarding the screen protectors that are available. Are there any tempered glass protectors available? I cant seem to find any. Also, I had seen the Spigen protector is highly recommended, are there any downfalls to certain protectors in reference to the S-Pen?

Overall how have the experiences been with the Note 2? I am kinda leery based on my connection issues I have had with the G-Nex.

Thanks!

The tempered glass protectors aren't available yet. I'd imagine it shouldn't be too long before those come out seeing as the Note has only been out for a couple weeks now. I've used a couple screen protectors already and none of them has had any adverse affect on the S Pen. As long as the screen protector is a crystal clear one then you should be ok. I'd stay away from ZAGG or any protectors similar to that since it's more of a rubbery feel so that would cause some issues with the S Pen just from a usability standpoint.

As far as connection goes, that's really down to where you're at in the world. I'm in the Washington, DC area with horrid 3G coverage and very sparse/erratic 4G coverage. That said, I haven't had any issues with my Note 2 from a connection standpoint.

I'm currently using the Ultra Clear and although it's ultra clear I'm cleaning my screen ALL day long. Smudges look horrible. Other high marks were for the Ultra Oleopobic. I'm waiting for that one to arrive as we speak.

Thanks for the responses. I have spoken with a rep at Xgear and they are working on a tempered glass protector. But don't have an ETA to the market.

For me, it's really between the Note2 and the Moto HD MAXX. I am really leaning towards the Note2 though. It's always a hard decision knowing that you'll be married to the device for the next few years!

As someone who tested out the Maxx HD I would say go for the Note 2. The note performs MUCH better and has comparable battery life.

Ok I went from an HTC Evo 4g to the note 2. I have excellent call quality and better data as my Evo 4g was only wimax 4g nd Topeka Ks only has two wimax towers. I love the phone for the most part. I use the note taking features several times a day. I love it. While the multi screen is kinda neat, I cannot imagine why I would need to use two different apps. Others might find a use for it. Anyway the connection is great, the phone switches from one app to another very fast, I am quite happy.
