Help Constant dropped calls & Internet issue

I had my EVO for 29 days before it suddenly started dropping calls. The rep at the store said that the home replacements can sometimes interfere with call quality, etc., but she still gave me a brand new phone. This one is also dropping calls. I had PandaHome2 on it with a theme I purchased so I've taken it off again. I'm not using any other home replacement. I'm hoping this helps.

One thing I've noticed is that even though I had my screen timeout set to 2 minutes and the lock setting to 3 minutes, my ear was still hitting the microphone "button" and the person on the other end would hang up because they couldn't hear me or vice versa. I've set the timeout to one minute and so far, so good.

If this keeps happening, is there any way to get out of a contract without paying an ETF? I've never had Sprint before. I usually have ONE bar instead of all 6 bars when I'm at home. That's not acceptable.

I get errors when I'm playing games. The plays won't send because there's no Internet connection and I have to move the phone around to finally get them to go through. I'm not able to watch YouTube videos at times. It's just happening too often.

The phone has already updated to 3.7 and my trial period was up 3 days ago.

A Sprint rep told me there's nothing they can do about the buttons problem because it's a touch screen. WTF? She said I can't put the phone against my face. I've always put the phone against my face and never had this problem. My last phone was the iPhone.

Am I the only one with this issue?

the phone has a proximity sensor...if it's working properly, and if you aren't using a case that is blocking the sensor, the screen should be off just prior to placing it near your ear.

as for your internet and call connections try updating your prl and profile.

if it still isn't resolved then contact sprint and let them know about your issues with call reception.

how is your signal strength?
