My problem is different. I have two contacts with similar names:
Rick C..... and Richard ..., father and son respectively. All of the information about each contact is different in the Contacts list on google's gmail.
Note that I am only using GMAIL contacts. No phone of FB contacts at all.
My DX merges them into one. Ironically it is the father. All of the email, phones numbers and street addresses from both are in the one contact. A search for "Richard" comes back negative. Rick works getting dear old Dad.
Any help would be appreciated. As in "Thank you!"

So I thought I will take another look see and tapped on the link "Linked profiles" at the bottom of the profile. Was given several choices one of which was "Unlink profiles". Tapped on it and lo and behold they are unlinked. Separate. Unique.
Weird that they were linked to begin with.
Sigh.
Smart phones. Watta ya gonna do?
