Help Contact groups useless on the N4?

Been loving this N4 so far, but one issue I've run into is sending a mass text to a group. I oversee several kids at work, and I need to be able to send out mass texts on a regular basis. On gingerbread, all I had to do was add a group and check the names I wanted to receive the message.

I have not been able to find anyway to do this on the Nexus...which begs the question...why did they include contact groups? It's very irritating adding each person individually to the text.

Yeah, a completely useless feature. Hey you can have groups, but you can't do anything with them.

There are a few SMS apps out there that will do what you want. GoSMS or Handcent from memory perhaps.
