This may have been covered, but i couldnt find it.

Recently i rooted my phone and it uploaded the contacts from my gmail account, but the list wasnt the most up to date. I had a vcf file on my sd card and it also was loaded but now i have tons of duplicate entries and i dont want to sit there and manually merge them all.

I did merge all the duplicate entries thru my pc on gmail. But how do i get rid of all of the duplicates on my Dinc, so i can load the merged list from gmail?!

I hope i am explaining this correctly... :confused:
 
Kind of sure you have to delete the duplicates manually. Or you could just clear the data from the people app and start over.
 
Ok, i thought so but wanted to know if there was some other way that i dont know about.

So clear date from contacts, and then upload the new vcf merge contact file from gmail?
