Hi. I'm new.
Just got my HTC EVO 5G the other day (either I'm from the future, or I'm just cool with hitting the wrong number key). Pretty excited. What I'm not excited about is Facebook having priority over what your contact images should be. And Google kinda makes the resolution on these pics kinda crappy anyway, so maybe Facebook is doing us a favor...?
I decided to try and use my own custom images (for the resolution, of course). Now, of course, whenever I made a call to one of those contacts, the image would switch back to their Facebook picture. Not surprising. Eventually, all the other contacts would follow suit. And this would happen again right as soon as I was done re-choosing all my contacts custom images.
However... after awhile some of my custom pictures have actually stuck. These are contacts that, while they are linked to Facebook as well, they just don't have their phone numbers in their Facebook info. I don't know why this is, considering even theirs were changing as well.
Does anyone know if this is an android issue or a Facebook app issue? And regardless of which, has it been brought to the attention of whoever's fault this is? I got some extra pitchforks and torches if anyone cares enough.
