Hello, new to the Android world and still trying to master the simpler things. One open item for me is how can you create a template for a text message that will provide your contact info to the bottom of a text message similar to an email footer?

Welcome to AF & Android! :)

The process might differ from phone to phone. Which phone do you own?

I know if you install another SMS app, like GoSMS for example, you can create templates/signatures in that.

I can't see a way to do it on my handset using the stock app so I'll move to the Inc 2 forum in the hope that users of the device will be able to assist. :)

Don't know about the stock SMS app (currently running a custom rom) but gosms and handcent are two great replacements that will allow a signature at the end of every SMS. I have used handcent since day one and love it. They're both worth a try.
