Help Contact issues since flashing CM7. Please Help.

I flashed a new rom the other day (CM7) and since then hardly any of my contacts are in my contact list... about 20 of them. Here is the thing I thought was weird... If i go into the text message app, I can type in a name and within the first few letters I type, it will pull up that contacts name and number, and I can "click" it and send them a text. But, they are not showing up in the contacts app. So i guess they are on the phone, just not visible.

Any ideas how to make these "hidden" contacts visible in my contacts? Thanks in advance!

in the contacts app, hit menu-view, and make sure your gmail is synced.

Thanks, but i just went in there and re-synced everything, and still no luck.
I just dont understand why they would be showing up in the text app but not in my contacts.
