anyone know how to download (and maybe even sync) a contact list from Outlook Express on a PC running XP to a Samsung Captivate? I upgraded from a blackberry and boyoboy am I feeling green all over agian

I agree with 'sitlet'. Once you've exported contacts via CSV to GMail, then you won't need to use Outlook again - bonus!
Use Google calendar too, far better than outlook as you can share them with people. Create as many calendars as you need, private, family, public, etc. All will sync with your phone.
Calendar has some support for tasks too. If you use a free Android task manager like Astrid, then it will sync with Google Tasks.
