Help Contact Pictures Keep Changing

Hi,

I've synced all of my contacts to FB with both the official android app and FB for HTC Sense.

However I have chosen to use my own contact image for some of my contacts, which you can easily change in the edit contact section...

However, if any of these contacts change their profile picture on FB then it changes their contact picture to that rather than keeping the one I have chosen.

Is there any way to stop this from happening other than stopping syncing with FB for HTC Sense??

I have had a HTC for two years now but this is my first time posting. I will try an include as much information as possible.

I have the same issue as described above. I used to have a HERO and recently got my DESIRE HD. After initial setup and synchronizing with my google account it pulled my favourites through and populated the widget with the facebook pictures. After changing these through the edit contact function to the google picture i noticed that the picture resolution was quite "fuzzy". To remedy this I edited the contact again and re-selected the same pictures from my SD card and the resolution issue was resolved.

I since restarted my phone and the contact pictures have defaulted back to facebook and one contact which was not synched with FB pulled the google contact picture back in with the same fuzzy resolution issue.

Any idea on how to retain:

a. the desired contact photo
b. the higher resolution to remain

I don't think you can do anything about the picture issue. If you have set up the contacts to sync from FB or where ever then that's what the phone will do.

I would be nice to proved wrong on this though!!

As for picture resolution - you might find a lower resolution picture would work better than a high resolution, try re-saving the pics at a lower resolution using Gimp or your photo editor and have a play around.
