Help Contact Pictures

Good morning all

I am a newbie to Android so excuse the same old question...

I would like to have a contact picture displayed (Which is stored on my phone, no Facebook plz) when a make a call or when I receive a call from a contact.

So I looked around and the easiest resolution is to select a photo in my "Gallery" and select "Set As" "Contact Icon" at which point my "People/Contact" window open and I get to choose a contact to associate the photo with.

Here is the problem; In this "People/Contact" window I have very few contacts with phone#"s stored. Most of the contacts displayed are from 1 of my Gmail accounts. Approx 80% of my contacts do not display.
However when I view my "People/Contacts" under normal circumstances everyone is there.

PLease tell me what am I doing wrong.

KInd regards and thank you for helping in advance.

Gideon

I'm not sure I understand your issue, but have you tried the following to see if it's what you're looking to do.

Apps > People > Menu > View > Only people with phone number - Toggle on/off to show those with/without numbers

Also in 'View contacts', ensure you have selected the accounts/locations you wish to see contacts from.
