Contact Sync App

JohnnyMojo

Lurker
I don't use Google Contacts and am looking for alternatives. I've used the Fruux app but don't understand how to sync. I've tried to get an explanation from the developer but still have problems.

Does anyone use Fruux that can help me, or suggest another app to keep my Android contacts in sync on my devices and my PC?

desde já agradeço!

I know Verizon devices tend to come with their backup assist app that will back up your contacts and allow you to retrieve them on their website. I believe Samsung Kies also allows you backup contacts as well, but that's computer software rather than an app.

After a (quick) scan of contact backup apps on Play, it seems they all backup to cloud storage but I get the feeling you don't trust that mate.
What about Airdroid?
I know nothing about it and have never used it but I see the name getting thrown around for wirelessly connecting to a PC

Well - I don't know of a contact app that works on PC and a mobile device without going through the cloud. However if you can find such an app (or a pair of apps that can read each other file formats) you could use Sync or SyncThing to keep the data files in sync.
