Help Contact Widget

Hey everyone. I'm really enjoying my SGN but I do have one question. If you go to the app drawer and scroll over to the widgets there is a 4x1 contact widget. It seems to show a text bubble which I imagine shows the contents of a text message. So I have one setup for my wife but I cannot get the texts to display, all it shows is her name. Am I wrong assuming it displays texts?

I believe it shows Google+ statuses. I just added one for a contact that I have texted today and it just displays her last Google+ status.

So, my Galaxy Tab has these same widgets. On my Tab, I can link FB and Twitter account (well, the Nex can link Twitter too, but I haven't done it). If I link those accounts, it will show the person's latest status update from whatever social media sites they're linked to.

I just checked this out, and yes, twitter at least will show. I can't verify that facebook will.

Thank you very much. It was frustrating thinking it wasn't working. We havent really used google+ maybe now we will.

Hey all, long time lurker, first time poster (actually, I was among the thousands of lurkers obessively refreshing the epic "awaiting GNex" thread last week!).

Two related questions I hope someone could help me with:

1) Re: syncing FB and/or Twitter with contacts in the People app. How do I do this? I really don't want to have to sync my FB and Twitter contacts so they are all in my list; is there a way to go from within my contacts/people app and link them to FB? If so, how?

2) I recall on the Droid Bionic there being an awesomely beautiful contacts widget, that when touched expanded in a fancy animation, and then would retract. Is there a way to get an apk of that to put on the GNex? I'd love to have that for some extra flare.

It would be nice if there was a contact widget available like the one from the Razr.

this is one of the things I'm missing from my Droid X (probably the only thing) is having a nice widget that I could display my 'favorites' on a single page. Instead of having 1x1 contacts everywhere, I'd prefer one page them displayed where I could click and call / text.
