sounds like u already don't like it but i use the stock "People" app.
why?
1) links people contacts with facebook contacts
2) syncs ur contacts with gmail and contact's photo (if they have don't have facebook but have a photo associated w/ their email)
3) under settings-> shortcuts u can make a shortcut on ur homescreen for a specific contact and contact method.
-ie: i have a button to specifically 'email' my bff but another button just to 'text' my niece, etc... because everyone u know each have their own nuance as to what they'll respond most reliably to.
4) can get driving directions if ur contact has a street address.
only thing missing is an option to click on their website. it'd be nice if it fired up ur web browser and took u there.
