so, I go into the messaging, right after a fresh power cycle (because it was acting up and not sending texts) and in the contact field, where it normally auto-completes your contacts as you type them in... well, it doesn't.
it doesn't find any thing. when I put a known contact in by fully typing it, it tells me to put a valid contact in.
I am about as frustrated with this phone right now as I was when it was power cycling. Perhaps even more.
email client blows, which bugs up other apps all the time, swype is broken, it won't sync emails unless I reboot, it won't find wifi unless I tell it to...
If I completely wipe the phone and do a factory reset, will this help? I know the kernel is bad on the stock cappy, but does it just get jammed up to the point that everything starts breaking down and you have to start from scratch? Is it like the old "have to re-install windows once a year" thing?
**please don't suggest rooting. I'm not in a position to replace my phone if it bricks, and all my upgrades from the wondrous ATT are around $500.
