Help "Contacts" - complaints

Couple of complaints/issues:
1. Why can't we organize our contacts last name first?
2. A search feature in contacts would be GREAT.
3. Concerning the "Note" section of a contact:
a. Limited on size (you can type anything you want into gmail contacts but it only shows a limited amount on your phone)
b. When you edit the "Note" the amount you can see to edit it even smaller.

Anyone have a solution to these issues?

Can't comment on all of them except

2. Use the capacitive search button at the bottom. (tap it once for contacts search, twice for normal search function)
 
You would not believe the "simple" things that I didn't know about Android and the Fascinate that I have learned on this forum. I hate reading owners manuals, but will read on these forums all day....go figure lol
 
One thing I don't get about the contacts. One of my contacts, for example, is linked to my Facebook account and 3 Google accounts. I only have one Google account in my phone, so where did the other 2 come from??

Has anyone else noticed this?
 
Is there multiple contacts for that single contact :) What I mean is, does the person you are trying to contact have multiple email address and phone numbers? That might be it.

For example, I have a contact that links to my phone via gmail, twitter, and facebook. After linking the three of them, which the SF does pretty well, I only see one contact containing all 3 types of info with an associated icon next to their profile in the contact list.

The contact has multiple email addresses, yes. But all of those email addresses are listed in the one contact in Gmail. There are 3 little Google icons and one Facebook icon for that contact.

I ended up unlinking them and each one had one email address in them. I deleted that contact and edited the main contact. So now it is fixed, but it is weird that it did that in the first place
 
Hmm. I just noticed that my capacitive search button doesn't work at all. Not before or after I unlock the screen. All it does is make the row of buttons light up. What have I done now?
Not rooted or anything and have the OTA update.
 
I want to find out how to remove all of the contacts that snyc from facebook that I actually do not talk to on the phone? If I want to type a text message, I open contacts its filled with every friend I have on FB?
 
contacts> menu>Display options You can select show only with phone numbers and you can go into each category and select which group to show. Hope that helps
