Hello!
I have LAVA iri349+ android cell phone. My contacts displays only 237 contacts but when I try to export them on SD Card/Sim Card it shows 725 contacts. and in memory status there it shows: 725 contacts on phone.

Where are the hidden contacts?
Thanks.

Similarly, I can't get my Droid Turbo to display (or allow me to search for) contacts which are obviously in there. For instance, they show up through the native dialer, as well as my email client. But the native contacts app won't list or search for them. They are google contacts. Not merged. Not phone contacts. And my contacts display settting is to show google contacts.

Does anyone know how to get ******** Android to show all of my google contacts?

Is Android actually a google project? Sometimes it doesn't seem like it given how utterly defective it is at coordinating with google much of the time. I mean, I've been to google's campus, seen the nauseating sculpture garden of Android operating systems, and eaten lunch inside the Android building. But do Android workers ever play ping pong or volleyball, or go rock wall climbing or bowling with google workers to work out basic communication between their departments? Or is that just the problem -- that they're too busy playing games and ruining my neighborhood in San Francisco by renting at grotesquely inflated rates?

Thanks for any help.

Try seeing what options you have in your contacts pull down or in contacts by swiping for a navigation drawer.

I get the option for choosing my Google contacts from multiple sources and multiple accounts, in any combination - 7 in all on my HTC.

If your Turbo lacks that then blame Motorola or Verizon, both are points where they branched Android.

If the Android One lacks that, blame Google.

In any case, look for an add on contacts app with the full features if your manufacturer left it off.

Hi EarlyMon,

I have and have fiddled with those contacts display settings. It's set to display google contacts. The missing contact is a google contact. I've deleted and re-added it. It appears in gmail, and syncs with my other devices, including Mac's. It only fails to show in Android, despite Android being a division of google. Any other thoughts?

In the contacts app, check for filter settings that could hide contacts (a) without phone numbers or (b) offline.

If the 'missing' contact displays in Gmail then it's definitely there somewhere.
