Help contacts icon missing inside phone screen

Hi,
This is first post. I have searched but unable to locate a thread on my problem.

I have just purchased two G S2 phones. The contacts icon is not displayed when the phone is "running" in one of the handsets.

I am not talking about the contacts icon at the bottom of the home screen. It is the icons on the top of the phone screen.

In my handset I have these icons - Keypad: Logs: Contacts: Favourites: Groups:
In my wife's handset the Contacts: and Favourites: icons are missing from the menu that is inside the phone.

Is it possible to configure the icon tool bar inside the phone? Any ideas?

Try sliding the bar that has groups, favorites, etc.

Its 5 symbols where only 4 fit, but you can move it around.

I think 90% of the people get stuck with it a bit.

If its the latest ICS, on mine they've taken it out from the bar at the top. You have to click on MENU - CONTACTS while on the phone screen now.
