I have a S G Note 2 lte which I love but have hit a niggle
Now I am fairly tech savvy but this has got me
I have of course a sim card in the phone but opted to use the phone for
contacts use
but when i write a sms the phone is using both the phone & contacts memory ie it chooses which one it wants to use
amongst other things this messes with whatsapp including the picture & ringtones i have saved for each
contact
now i have looked And double checked sim is definitely not selected but why is it still using the sim?
sim is defo unchecked

The Backup and Restore feature was the culprit last time I encountered this.

Some users remedy that issue by removing the SIM card as they copy/create contacts (via Gmail, etc), then once done putting the card back in. It's a workaround, of course.

I don't care what data shows up on the SIM card, as I remove it all periodically.

How do you do that please.
