Contacts missing/ dissapearing

Hi, i am sure this has been raised before however i cant find the original thread to read or raise this against.

I am finding that some of my contacts are dissapearing or their contact numbers dissapear. I was texting the person and then all of a sudden their name wasnt showing and just the number. Anyone know if there is a fix for it?

they are phone contacts, i dont have my phone hooked up to facebook. It is a contact where i have added there e-mail, date of birth etc and their phone number. It is only the phone number that dissapears.
 
BUMP. this issue has happened with about 5 contacts now (That i know of) They were all entered manually as google contacts. I dont have facebook linked up to my phone as i dont yet have a facebook profile.
Any ideas would be good please?
 
hi, yes its really frustrating. my contacts are also just vanishing or just the name going awol. mines are in sync with gmail. android you need to resolve this asap plz in order to remain better than the iphone
 
Yeh I have a similar problem.

My contacts are syncing with gmail and when i create a new contact, the number appears in the phone dialler but not in people.

The only way I can get the number in people is to create the contact on my desktop gmail contacts.

Any solutions
