I have noticed since the day I got my S2 a few years ago that a few of my GMail contacts that I have sync'd to the phone aren't recognized if I dial by name (ie type 5-3-6-6 to get contacts named "Jenn".)
All my contacts are in GMail, and synced to the phone. My wife Jenn is in Gmail with 2 phone numbers, her work and her cell. Her work number shows up when I type 5-3-6-6 but not her cell. If I start dialing her cell number, i get to the unique part of her number and it shows up top with her name and her full phone number.
This is happening on a few contacts that I dial often. I have no idea what the issue is. I've gone through 2 OS upgrades, a full factory reset, spent many hours searching the internet but have come up empty.
Anyone else experience this? Anyone have a suggestion?
