Help contacts missing

Noobie floppyrocca here, how you all doin'? Got myself a shiny moto Defy, awesome bit of kit, however I'm having a bit of bother with my contacts. I managed to get all my contacts to gmail from ovi suite for Nokia but when I sync my gmail account on the Percy (Percy Thrower(used to do gardening on TV); rhymes with Blower. Blower-phone)some of my contacts don't appear. Anyone out there got any ideas. I could probably find the answer in the forum, but this is as good a first post question as any.

Contacts come from multiple places in motoblur.

The way I do it is to hide everything but my google contacts. this works well as it still links them with facebook etc.

Have you tagged your google contacts to "my contacts" ?
