Help Contacts not showing in People

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

My gf has a 2 day old Desire, no software changes with it. Only a few contacts in "People", synced with Facebook, those contacts now show their facebook photos.

Few texts from people, saved them as contacts, they don't show in People. But they do show up in Search People. Any ideas why that would happen?

Only thing I can think of is these new contacts were added as a contact type that is filtered out of the people view.

In People, if you go into view, it shows numbers of contacts against each type
