Help Contacts Storage - just gets bigger and bigger...

Hey all,

Desire has crap internal memory, we all know that. the problem is that the contacts storage keeps on taking up huge amounts of it!
just 5 mins ago i cleared all my contacts storage data, taking it from 10.5MB to 0KB. for some reason i still had nearly 100 contacts on my phone, but thats another story...
once i re-synced with google, i now have 1.06MB of data in contacts storage, but i know from doing this same process a number of times, that in a week or so it will be back up around the 10MB mark and climbing... but, i dont add any more contacts! why is it that the data size increases even though i am adding nothing to it? is there a way to prevent this increase? is there a way to get the contacts storage on to the SD without rooting?

I believe this happens when you sync and get more data on the contact.
I wish I knew how to get them across the SD card. (I want to do the same with my messages.)

If you do not use HTC sync for Facebook, and Gmail. You should be fine.

by HTC sync, do you mean the sync that occurs when i hook my phone up to my computer? if so, i dont sync these through that anyway.
if not, how do you sync facebook and gmail if you dont use HTC sync? or are you sugesting i just do it manually?

There's a bug where people has a memory leak.

You need to clear cache and data in manage applications.

If any contacts are not online, export first as this deletes all contacts
