Help Contacts sync issue

I have all my contacts on my Gmail account but they will not sync over to my phone. My e-mail syncs over fine but contacts wont work.

Tap Contacts on Home screen.

Menu>Manage accounts>(your google account)

Tap on Sync Contacts.

Similar with Calendar and Gmail.
