Help contacts sync issue

Just got the DC and when I activated it, it synced over every email and phone number from facebook and gmail, every email i have ever received or sent an email to. I do not want these. how do i get rid of them?
 
The Google contacts and gmail are just displaying your account info the same as if you logged in on your PC. The facebook contacts you can turn off if you want. Go to menu>settings>accounts & sync and tap on your facebook account. Uncheck the box to sync contacts.
 
I have tried that but all those contacts are still present. is there any way to get rid of them?
 
Try rebooting your phone. If the facebook contacts are set to NOT sync, they shouldn't saved to your phone.
