Help Contacts synch not working, wants to delete

I had 2 emails sitting in my inbox but they never came to my phone (Gmail), so I went and synched on my Droid.
I got an error message for contacts, it basically said there were too many deletes to process, did I want to 1) delete them all 2) undelete them all or 3) do nothing. I chose 'do nothing' and then it said "synch is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly." So, I tried again, this time selecting 'undelete' and still got the synch error.
Anyone else getting this? Hopefully my contacts aren't being deleted

Bump.
The last time my contacts updated was 12/10 @ 2:01 AM. I'm guessing that is when the update came. My Gmail and calendar are updating/syncing with no problem but my contacts aren't and won't. I've powered off and back on, no change.
Any ideas?
