Contract Extended With NO-COMMITMENT Price..

Taking with ATT now..and they informed me that my contract is extended for another 24 month how can that happen when I order it for no-commitment price??
I am loosing my temper on rep..big cheaters..
anyone else here same like me..

Ordering from the website is always very confusing. There could have been a mistake somewhere and charged for an "exception upgrade" which would equal to the $399 price + 2 year extension. Either way customer service should fix it.

Just tell them that you were supposed to buy the phone outright but some how the contract was extended. Ask them if there is a way to reverse the contract. I've done this for customers (in situations where i accidentally put them on 2 year contracts when i shouldnt have) and it usually worked out fine.

you might have to try a couple of different reps....some are more willing to help than others

Yea, I had this happen to...
Let me know if you have any success in getting the contract reversed, as this will determine if I will as well because I really don't feel like trying to get them to do it right now.

on phone from past 1 hr.. also posted on ATT facebook page..
This is what I will do:
Go to the store, tell them that you want to return the phone. If they say why, just tell them why...Don't waste hours on the phone. It will work !

Success :) finally they removed the new contract from my account and I am back to old one...
One interesting thing the rep told me (which she learned just now) that if we order online from premier site at no-commitment price it is automatically gonna put you on commitment and on a lighter note she said don't ever order online for no-commitment price always go to store or call ...
Any case I would ask all of you who order online through premier site at no-commitment price to check back your contract status..

just now got a call from their social media team and they said THANK YOU for bringing this issue as this might have affected all ...
They are looking to see all the upgrade and will revert your contract back if by mistake it would have got extended.

So are you saying they have a system that will automatically fix your upgrade date back to the correct date?

I'm not quite eligible for an upgrade but my page shows a no commitment price with $100 rebate (for renewing?). But I can't choose whether I want the instant rebate or not. I don't. It won't even add it in for my other line which is eligible. Confusing.

Well I just realized I got screwed with a bit too, I have a family plan, 3 lines, mine was set for upgrade in Sept. along with my wife's, I upgraded the 3rd line that was long overdue for upgrade and they somehow moved my wife's and my up grade dates up to April of 2012 and the 3rd line is Feb of 2013? WTF ATT??

This same thing happened to me. Premiere phone jockeys wouldn't help me. Went in to a store and they submitted a reversal form. It was fixed in about 4 hours.

That's what my page showed (as I was not eligible for upgrade) but their system put me on 2 year contract extension. What I understood is this has happened to many and they are going to correct it (May be automatically or may be manually) best is to call or go to store and upgrade and see with your eyes that the contract is not extended. Also if the store is not giving the online price just take a printout of your online offer and asked them to do a price match. This is just to avoid the pain (in case) I went through in last two days trying to explain and get the contract back

I was just reluctant to go to store on week days..
may be if not fixed by Friday I would have gone to store..

same situation here but with one line I was due in sept and they moved my upgrade to April 2012, but finally got that fixed.

on the phone right now. The rep is being very nice, and she is trying to fix it herself right now. Otherwise she will send it to another department to get fixed. I'll let you know how it turns out.

edit: So I'm off the phone now, and everything is back to where it was. She thought she couldn't do it, and then was telling me it is showing up in her system as my original contract the way it should be. So either she fixed it without knowing it, or it magically went back to normal while I was talking to her because I checked, and everything is back to where it should be.

My advice would be that if they extended your contract call the 611 number, and tell them about it, and they will probably fix it for you. If they tell you no, then just hang up and call back for a different rep because she fixed it for me so there should be someone who will do it for you.
