Controllers in Android Games

Lurker
I have an idroid bluetooth controller and I was hoping to be able to use it in some good flight Sims but so far almost every flight sim I have tried uses the on screen controls or the old yank and bank your phone/tablet method, neither of which I care to use. Isn't there some way to get the joysticks on my controller to work with a decent flying game? I can set it up to work like a mouse or keyboard or game pad or any combination thereof but so far it's useless in any of the flight (or driving) Sims I have tried.
