I'm not a app dev, though I've pounded code in the past. AFAIK, iPhone apps are coded in C where Android apps are coded in Java. Though they are similar languages, an iPhone app will need to be fully recoded to work on android but the learning curve for the developer should be short. That's my $0.02. We'll see what my buddy (SA) has to say.:p

There are some apps that are coded using Adobe Air--which allows an app to basically be written once and easily re-compiled to work on iOS or Android. You'll find several apps that are common to both iTunes App Store and the Google Play Store.

What is Adobe AIR?
