Help copy from the browser?

Coming from the droid, with a plethora of options for copying, I am having a tough time figuring out how to copy from the stock browser. Every time I long press the texr the menu just tries to copy the background wallpaper image... I can't find another menu option for editing. Any ideas?

Also the native non-gmail email client does not seem to have a search function, kind of weird, anyone find a way to search say yahoo in the client?

How about a quick press of the text and just drag over what you want copied? Don't know if that works but a long press on the iPad does the same thing, copies the whole page. Not all the time but annoying enough.

ok ok.. im a broken record.. skyfire has a option to select text. you can cut/copy... i have not used the stock browser on this tablet yet, however on the evo you can do what mitch just stated and that may work. it works on the evo in the gmail app and the email app...

A quick press isn't doing the trick. It is odd, some places like the forum or the phandroid.com home page copy/paste works fine with long press, but a long press will bring the image menu in others such as an article on the phandrod site even. The problem is not exclusive to phandroid its self it seems hit or miss. Maybe I should just get skyfire...
