Copy/Paste bug in Touchwiz caused by Clipboard

I've read about several Note II bugs that I have never experienced.
The articles make it seem that they are widely spread issues.

Agreed but the papers have to make problems out of issues to get our attention.

I have had no self re-booting problems on my SGN2 in the 5 months I have owned it. However, I vaguely recall some posters on this forum having that symptom.

The only time my phone has rebooted is when I've been doing a lot of copy and pasting.
Even if I've cleared the clipboard it has still done it.

I have to say it's a bit annoying, but it doesn't bother me that much.

I usually copy and paste stuff from websites into an email and then send it to myself so I can pick it up at work. I've never lost anything because of the soft reboot as when the phone restarts the draft email is still there as is the text on the clipboard!

This is a well documented bug dating back to June of 2012. I had my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 for about 6 months copying and pasting to my heart's content. Then this bug showed up. I just waited for the JB update on my Tab in January to fix the problem because there is no way to get the clipboard button to show up once the bug affects your Samsung device allowing you to clear the clipboard.

Since the JB update to my Tab did fix the issue, I clear the clipboard after every copy/paste just so I don't have to worry about the bug showing back up. Since I've experienced this first hand and now have a Note 2 (got it yesterday), I'll be clearing the clipboard after every copy/paste on it as well just to prevent this bug from happening.

What I don't understand is that it's such a widespread problem (Google it) that has existed since June of last year and Samsung has done NOTHING to fix it. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me.

I have read about it, and there are many people complaining, but I have yet to read of any active forum member being affected.
I also read that Samsung did fix it on some device(s), but the fix removed paste altogether.

I'm having a problem I believe is related to this. I can be happily texting, whatsapping etc and then all of a sudden, I hit reply and as well as my keyboard coming up it also says 'paste' on the text entry line and I have to keep tapping in the box to get rid of it. I don't know why and can only think it's a part of the glitch.

Can anyone here tell he how to clear my clipboard?

Thanks Nobby Sheep, I did have a bit of a moment as it didn't work at first. Then I remembered I was using Swiftkey Flow keyboard so switched back to stock Samsung and hey presto!

Hopefully if I keep my clipboard clear I will not get the issue I have been having.

Thanks again
