Help Copy/Paste Problems in some apps

I just got a Samsung Stratosphere on Black Friday and have been gradually working my way through how to do things in Android (since my last few phones have been Blackberry). It took a while to figure out how to copy and paste by holding down on the text and then dragging the arrows, but it seems like some apps have issues with this. In Facebook, both in the Android app and in the browser, the copy/paste functions don't work, no matter how much I zoom in. In the browser, I have also seen a few individual sites where the selection doesn't work. Any thoughts?

I am experiencing the same thing. Not sure if it's a Samsung thing or an Android thing. I have a Galaxy s2, had it for a few days. Previously had an Htc, with Android 2.2. Could it be something in the newer version of Android? On my old Htc this wasn't an issue. Very frustrating! Maybe it's a Facebook thing? They don't want us copy/pasting?
