Help Copy/Paste?

You can copy and paste in email, I do it quite often. Menu>More>Select Text, then drag over the text you want to copy. Then long press where you want to paste it and select Paste.
 
Yeah it works fine. Not the best, I wish there was some sort of tapping gesture or something that could activate the select text option. But works nonetheless. I don't do too much copying and pasting anyway on my phone.
 
Does anybody know if you can copy and paste in my hotmail email account through the web?It looks liek I cant,maybe im doing something wrong??
 
When on the page MENU> More > Select text then drag accross the the words. Then long press to paste.
 
The menu button does not work within the body of an existing email. I can only cut/paste in an active text box that I'm replying to. What good is that? I need to get something from an exisiting email. Please help if there is an answer.
 
I am unable to select text in the built in email app (for ANY system besides yahoo email) to select older text, as was previously said -- "that I'm not actively typing".

Pretty nuts to have this tiny computer in hand, and to have copy/paste/cut/etc in several apps but not ALL apps.
