Help Copying contact pictures to replacement phone

I got a replacement phone, but, although the contacts imported fine, their pictures didn't. Is there a way (or app) to copy the contact pictures from the original device to the new one. I don't use Facebook, I just want my contact pictures from the original phone.

Mine always show up when I import the file into a new device or setup a new ROM.

I don't sync my contacts though, I export/import to/from the SD card.

I have a folder on my phone called "contact pics" and have a high rez square head shot image of all my contacts with their full name as the file name. ie. if my contact is named bill jones, the picture is named bill jones.jpg

Then I use a great app called HD Contact Photos to get me sharp images for all my contacts.

Since I use my work Exchange acct for my contacts, one nice side effect is Outlook now has pics for all my contacts as well.
