Help Copying in Gmail not working after 2.3

I tried copying some text in a saved email in Gmail, I can select the word but the option to copying or anything wont come anymore, was working in 2.2 but not now in 2.3?
Anyone else having this problem or have a fix?

Once you select the text you want to copy, you have to tap on said selected (yellowish) text and it should automatically copy it to the clipboard.

Then all you have to do is paste.

I believe this was part of the new update.

You'd think they'd tell us all these changes.

Speaking of changes, I just noticed that our GB phone does not turn off like a old TV screen.

I was under the impression it came standard with GB...
