Help copying to sd via pc

For me it has always been a straight forward Windows Copy and paste operation. All I did was create the target folders on the SD card using "my Files" on the tablet before I connected to the PC. Theoretically, it should not make any difference though. But then again with Android stranger things have occurred

Spikes

Yeah I did make video folder, music folder and Picture folders separately before connecting to the PC

actually even with kies it still corrupted some pics, and hung when trying to play tunes in various players, or didnt even copy half the pics over, im just using sd formater on the sd card to see if its better than windows/droid at formating it

ive also tried both ways aswell making the folder via tablet and by pc both with same result, tbh im baffled as it works fine on the s3 doing it any of these ways (diff card) which is probably the next thing to try

i think it could be cos i was trying to put more than 4gb in one made folder ie music which it seems these sd card dont lime in fat 32 altho i did try in exfat or because i was trying to copy a lot of files at once ie selecting several then copying and pasting.. not tried again yet but will try tom..

Ive returned to this thread as its still will not work properly ive just tried to copy over 4 or 5 folders containing music/mp3 all single folders no sub folders, via drag and drop to the root of the external sd some copy some fail and some get stuck in the middle - WHAT the hell is going on with the software on the tab? my s3 does this with zero issues whay is it so incompatable with windows this is a poor design all i want to do is get a few tunes and films/tv progs etc from my pc (win7 64bit) to my tabs sd card kies is also rubbish, and why wont the tab/sd accept sub folders?

hi
window 7 64 bit will not recognise my tab
even after uninstalling kies and leaving the Samsung drivers
in control panel/programs " however "
I keep kies, but do not use it, and all is fine,
I drag and drop "everything" to my, 32 gig ext sd card in the tab,
never had a problem, however " as a techy " I dban and reinstall windows 7
64 bit home premium,on my office pc, every month.....
I also keep flash on my tab 2 10.1 ext sd card, and reinstall that,
bye take care .............

delete all your drivers / usb driver and restart pc it should reinstall them then restart and plug in again it should reinstall the tab driver..
