CORRECT factory reset method.

Google helped me not on my quest to fix my lock screen issue. And (ironically) all it took was one call to Virgin customer service and a transfer to tech support to get the correct method. Which is as follows:


Turn phone off.

2. Hold down
-Home Key
- Volume Down
- and power button

Phone will boot up in Recovery mode. As per usual, scroll through menu choices with volume keys. And you confirm with home key. Boom. Goes. Dynamite.

This should be at the top of the Optimus V forum for all to see who don't know. Now the problem is to get it to recoverl. Went to ROM Manager Pro and selected backup/restore and it appears to be hung there now.

Optimus V - All Things Root is at the very top of the forum... it's a separate forum from that of the un-rooted OpV. Tons of stuff up there for the issue you're having.
