Help Corrective Text?

Hi, I love using swype, but sometimes it keeps correcting a word that I want spelled the way I've written it. I've looked around in settings and don't seem to find anything about it. I ended a text/FB message with "tehehe"
and sent it without "proof" reading it. I reread it later and it had changed it to "renege". NOT!
Does anyone have an idea of how to let what I'm typing stay that way?

It was quite frustrating for me too. I suggest a couple of setting changes which have minimised auto correction erors for me.
settings --> language and keyboard --> swype settings --> preferences --> Word Suggestion --> Enable show suggested word.
This shows you the suggested word in the message and its more visible.

Another thing you could do is in 'Speed vs Accuracy' set it to 100% Accuracy. Have not seen any drop in sensitivity.
