Root Corrupt directory in root directory

If you have root access, can you check something. Go to the root folder on your device, then go to the directory OSH. Then go to the directory THUMB2.

You should now be at /osh/thumb2. There is another directory here called THUMB2, that if you hit it, it will show the same things as the directory above it. You could keep going deeper for quite a while. I have gone to /osh/thumb2/thumb2/thumb2/thumb2 and it keeps going and going. When I do a details with Astro file manager, it keeps adding files. I stopped it after 80,000 files and almost 1.8GB in size.

It's not a corrupted root directory, it's just how the OS is handling the navigation. What you are clicking on is akin to the . and .. you used to see in an empty directory in MSDOS. It just keeps referring back to itself, which appears that you are digging deeper and deeper.

I have a stock non rooted phone and was wondering about this folder. I used astro to try and locate some mp3 on my phone and it got stuck in a loop on this thumb2 folder. Is this normal for a non rooted phone?
