corrupted photo

[Android Question]

okay I have galaxy s3 and a picture on my HP laptop. the picture shows up fine on my laptop when I click on it and everything. but when I send it to my phone, my phone shows the thumbnail of the image but when I open it, it shows for a second then I get the grey man figure with a lightning bolt through it... why is it doing that and can it be fixed?

is it something you downloaded? how did you xfer it to the phone?

What is the file type of the picture as well?
