Help Cough syrup got on my evo

Ok, so months ago my phone survived the fall in the water/rice issue worked perfectly fine since I fixed it then. 2 days ago I jad cough syrup and my Evo in my purse and the cough syrup opened up while i was walking, ya never doing that again sick and not thinking.. =/

So when i got back to the house to clean it up there was dayquil all over my screen some seeped under the cracks and my search button is orange, sometimes it hits search by itself, not to big of an issue there but its annoying.

My main issue is the battery charger on my phone, I can connect the phone to a charger/computer tether from it and stuff. The issue is that it says the phone is charging up at the top battery icon but it does not charge my battery what so ever, so i gotta use my wall charger and swap batterys to have a full battery.

A little bit of cough syrup leaked in the cracks of the battery/phone and hit my SD card and got a little under the battery not much my contacts were completely wiped out by everything else on my SD card/phone is there?

Damn cough syrup has me confused and the only warrnity I have is a bestbuy mobile warrity where they take for phone for a week and make u deposit 100$ to get a loner phone while you wait, I dont have 100$ to put on hold atm... I dunno what to do.

Buy A can of electronics cleaner and spray the phone down. You can get a can at any radio shack. May even want to get two cans. Spray The contacts of the battery and the contacts on the phone real well and maybe take a hard toothbrush and brush the contacts. If you can use a Scouring Pad use that just get the contacts as clean as you can. Spray the cleaner all in the cracks around your search button and see if it will flush out the dayquill.
