Just checking on optimus v threats and I saw vm9 update patch could this possibly work for triumph. not sure what radio triumph has right now is there a way to check that

Well certain things aren't changed through a backup like prl...... flashing this could possibly brick your phone

Yeah I wouldn't flash it. Phones gave efferent internal partitions so either it wouldn't flash at all it flash it somewhere it don't belong which could be very very bad.

I've never been able to find what partition the radio is on on the triumph. And plus different phones have different radios so there is almost no chance of it working. As for a backup, a nandroid definitely doesn't backup the partition that has the radio files. But if one could find the files on whichever partition(its not gonna be one mounted to the system at runtime) then you could copy out the radio files from our phones for a backup. This would have to be done through Linux.

Having said all this.... DO NOT FLASH THAT!!!!!! If you know what your doing have at it but make sure you gave a backup of our radio. If you have the slightest doubt, font flash it. If it helps, there is no way in hell I would flash it!

Is nobody going to try this?

Ha i sure as hell aint.

Guys look, just because its from the same network, or a similar phone, or this or that, doesn't mean there is even a chance it will work. First of all, the zip copies a radio.img to a partition flagged as the radio partition, which from what I have found on our phone, no partition is flagged as the radio partition. So best case scenario, the install essentially does nothing, because it can't find that partition or it errors out.

Worst case scenario, we do have a partition marked as radio, it copies it over, but is not compatible with our radio chip, because the OV has a different qualcom SoC than our snapdragon System on a Chip, and boom a f**ked phone with out a way to recover as of right now.

There would of course be a very slim chance that the radio is compatible with our chipset and it actually worked if it did get flashed to the phone.

Point is, unless someone is willing to risk their phone, and at least somewhat knows what they are doing....DO NOT FLASH THIS RADIO!!! Enough said...

yeah b_randon is right... dont take risks. cause at the moment we have no way of recovering the radio if it did not work.

now if any of you just use your phone as a mp3 player... then go for it lol :p JK JK

Well it would be a good idea if some one was having to replace a
Defective phone.I wonder if virgin even care if it came to them brick
