I actually like the physical home button
Yeah, I tend to prefer physical buttons too, but I say make them all physical or not. It's really weird when I have to mash one button, and the buttons right next to it respond to a very light insignificant tap.

A physical home button Eliminates the chance a case could interfere with the wake button like it can on the Motion.

I think the only thing I would like better is the camera fixed, agreed, and to be able to wake from any of the hard/physical buttons. I come from the old HTC Titan, and the Samsung Admire. On those the power button is on the side and easy to thumb. The LG having it on the top is a pain in the arse most times. So pushing the volume up/down would be a nice alternative. My one big like I do have to say is being able to slide the notification bar down even on a lock screen, though.

If you root you can make the volume buttons wake buttons.

I'm not a Rooter but that alone is almost a good enough reason to do so in my opinion.

Something like that is one aspect I would stand on a desk and scream at the phone makers/carriers at about rooting. Here, rooting very easily and innocently allows an owner to mostly Fix a glaring error of the phone maker.

[EDIT] I think it qualifies as a "glaring error" in the Motion as LG "fixed" that in what is essentially the Motion II, the Spirit.
