Help Couple of Quick Questions

I bought a Nexus S today (second one) and noticed a couple of things on it that were different than the first one I tried. The wallpaper on this one at start up, after setting it up was a static wallpaper that isn't selectable from the wallpaper page (it's not one of the preloaded ones under wallpaper). Kinda odd. It looks like the light blue wallpaper that the HTC EVO Shift 4G comes with. The last one I tried had the Nexus live wallpaper loaded up. Second I noticed it had Angry Birds already installed. I can't remember if the other had it or not, but I thought I'd see if any of you had it from the factory. I'm not too worried it's used or anything (all protective covering was in place...except the small strip on the lower hump, but none of them had that...I inspected a few...a couple had scratches) and all the wires and battery were sealed. Just curious if anyone else has seen this. Phone was built 12/19/10 according to Samsung registration. Thx

The Nexus S does not come with Angry Birds pre-installed. You either got a returned item, or someone at the store was playing around with this one before you bought it.

Thats kind what I thought, but interestingly enough I did a factory reset/full wipe on it just to see what would happen and sure enough Angry Birds was gone...up until I checked the Market and it was automatically downloading with a few other Google apps/updates. It said something like it was reloading missing apps or something. Could this be because of my Market log in or something? Seems odd, but it looks like ANgry Birds might have downloaded itself after I first started it and I didn't notice until it was done since it downloaded on its own after the reset. Everything else is working well so far...no marks/scratches or any blems on the phone. First couple they pulled out had a scratch and some box rash so I keep looking till I found a blem free one. Odd

Yup Android will re-download missing apps unless if you stop it by going to the market app right after the phone boots - that seems to prevent it from re-downloading apps.

In any case, I would go back to BB and get a NEW one :D

Not long after I'd logged on to my Google account, my wallpaper was set to what I use on my SG Tab.

And before long, scores of apps were installed. They were apps I have on my other devices (use same google account), although not all of them and not just the paid ones either.

None of this happened when I logged onto google account first time on Tab. Not sure if it was Wiz'd or VzW'd out there, or more is recoverable in 2.3, or, ...

Depending on the settings of your previous phone (in your case a Nexus S), Android will sync your data, like apps and even your wallpaper. I was surprised when I got mine and it had my Cyanogen Mod wallpaper, lol.

Yeah, thats what happened. At first I was thinking "how did someone mess with this, it's brand new", but I'm glad to know what I saw was normal. Thanks

P.S.: The only possible issue I noticed is that the scrolling in the apps page was a bit unresponsive when charging on the Samsung charger. I've heard some other have had that issue. Anyone around here seen it?
