Help couple questions on wifi

sorry for posting twice in same day just have alot of questions. just got phone.

Is there a way to disable wifi so it wont eat up the battery life. I had a ascend android phone before and you could turn wifi off. Is there any feature like this on the optimus V.


i see on amazon.com it lists that you can use wifi to make calls. i think it would still use the vm mineutes but am not sure. how is the call quality over wifi.

Yes, you can turn off wifi in the settings menu

Long press on the desktop, select widget and then power controls. You can turn lots of things on and off from there, including wi-fi, gps, bluetooth and others.
