the higher you set your CPU the more battery your going to use, make sure the "set on boot" is UNCHECKED and move the MAX around..play with it, see what your kernel can handle. if it starts stalling or freezing then you need to back it down a bit. once you find a happy setting for it. you can check set to boot. once u find the fastest setting thats safe, you can make profiles for it. like mine, i have it set to 580MHz screen off and 1190MHz max. make the profile so that your battery life is prolonged when not using your phone. hope this helps.
