Root CPU settings reset at every boot, why?

I'm running the latest BACKside iho, and under settings have always clicked my Max CPU at 729mhz. Lately, possibly after the 5.02 backside update, the CPU resets back to 600mhz after reboot even with restore CPU settings checked at reboot. I'm on an Optimus V. Any suggestions?

This happened to me before when I stayed on the 1_31 build for too long. When I updated to the current ROM version the problem went away. I would try wiping cache and dalvik and reflashing the 5_2 ROM
