cracked my droid 3 screen

so i dropped my droid 3 less than 24 hours after getting it from verizon.com a few days ago and the screen shattered. i had the insurance from asurion on it so i called and filed my claim. I was told they didnt have any droid 3's in stock so i backordered it. they called a day later and said it was in stock. got my brand new droid 3 in today...

I can see where it hit on the corner.... rubber case probably would have spared it.

Man idk how many times I've dropped, thrown, kicked...my OG Droid. Kinda depressing seeing the screen break that easy. Hopefully you just happened to drop it "just right."

I remember reading somewhere, not really sure where, that gorilla glass is actually really brittle, but it is extremely scratch resistant.
