Cracked Screen

Has anyone had to replace the screen on their Galaxy Nexus? I just noticed a line going from one end of the screen to the other and it turns out it's a crack. I have no idea when it happened. I always have a Diztronic case on it, but that doesn't provide a great deal of protection against falls I would assume. I do have Asurion insurance which I have never used (how much is a replacement from them?).

I guess what I'm asking is if there is a way to replace the screen myself or should I file an insurance claim. If I do file a claim will I get a new phone or will it be a refurbished one?

If it was my phone I would definitely file a claim. I just could not live with it. I believe it is $99 for a replacement with Asurion.
I bet buying a new screen and replacing it yourself would run at least that much as well.
